    that depends if he has read/write power to the registry this could be disabled for security reasons if he hasn't got admin powers and i suppose he doesnt ih he is asking that question.

    Spike: You have to have read/write/delete access to those keys or windows will never 'remember' what you typed there and you wouldn't be able to clear your recent list.

    These keys are located in HKEY_CURRENT_USER which is (almost?) fully accessable by the current user (kinda defeats it's purpose if this wasn't the case).

    He may need another tool to edit the registry tho if the admin disabled the use of regedit et al.
