Have a look at the net send command. At a dos prompt:

    NET SEND {name | * | /DOMAIN[:name] | /USERS} message

It may be disabled in your lab, but worth a try.

Be careful, use it the wrong way, and you could get yourself in a wee bit of trouble.

Depends on your Operating System, I would have thought, and the way you are all connected?

For example if this machine were attached to an IBM midrange net, and I was running in 5256 emulation mode I would just give it "sndbrkmsg" then run like hell before the Admins caught me using the other guy's machine

    Cheers

using Windows the command should be net send Ip address msg

    heres an example

    net send 192.168.1.100 Wassssuppp!

so you must know the persons IP address.

You can type that in the run command or at the command. prompt.

It will send a message (if not disabled).

    NET SEND * message

Will send a message to everyone logged on (to that domain I think), like I said use with caution, this is a great way to piss off an admin.

I haven't used it in ages, so don't quote me on this, but I don't think it shows who sent it. You might want to get a few more answers on this question before you try it.
