It was bound to happen. M$ does simply thieve ideas from others and re-implements a Windows version. The fact that Linux is becoming more popular and the fact that it is free and open source gives M$ not only the motive to modify Windows in Linux's image, it give them detailed instructions in C on how to do that. Not that Linux should not be open source, but it certainly does make things better for "Competing" OSes.
However, maybe we'll see a better Windows because of this.... Naw
