    Super Fast Linux ISO's!!!!

I just happened to stumble across this when looking for a Slack ISO.

They have a few other distros too.

This is the first time I think Ive ever maxed out my download, so if you got a fast connection Id be curious how fast it actually gets. I am at 366 kb/s.

    Anyways thought Id share.

Not bad but i still prefer http://www.linuxiso.org
the site that you gave isnt bad but it is a bit like ftp...in some cases you need to download file by file..kinda sucks
    Still Good Find

The problem with linuxiso.org is you are redirected to mirrors when you select a distro to download.
Sometimes you get a fast mirror and sometimes you get a slow mirror.

I only downloaded slack from here and it was full ISO, not file by file, but I am not sure about the other distros.

I find when using a list of mirrors that picking one in the middle of the list and take into account time zones gives best results, ie avoid using a german mirror if it is 9am there but use it if it is 3am , as many are universitys and such so there networks can be slow at prime times. For freebsd there is a script/port(fastest cvsup) that pings a list of cvsup mirrors for you and gives you the fastest near you , very handy as i regularily get 300-400kBs

Here's a few more distro sites:

    http://www.tuxcds.com/
    http://www.slackware-live.org/
    http://emergencycd2.sourceforge.net/

there's also knoppix and most recently clusterknoppix which utilises openmosix to run a thinclient network.
