There are not many free Trojan scanner out there. But I found one that is very good: a² free at http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/
Updates is free and are released very often
Actually, normal free antivirus scanner like AVG and AntiVir will detect and remove most of the Trojans.

Get the Cleaner, www.moosoft.com
It is very good considering its free-ware as others have stated. Just wanted to reinforce this, worth a look anyway.
Ad-Aware? Maybe you should actually wheck what your programs do dude.

A Squared 2 promises to be a great free trojan and malware scanner. Keep in mind that it's still in Beta, but works great on my machine. If you go to the url listed above, you can read about it.
The site gives a fair amount of info about it, and you can read more in threads at http://www.wilderssecurity.com forums (think that's the right url). The developer, Andreas Haak posts there occasionally and will usually answer any questions. If he can't, others who post there can.

TDS
adityaa1: Trojan Defence Suite (TDS-3) is a very good trojan scanner both with my experience along with other users of it. It appears to be very thorough even scanning processes in memory.
While it is not free there is a free trial download available. Check it out here: http://tds.diamondcs.com.au/

I think hackersplayground.org might have some listed there.. or try going to... blackcode.com and searching for one.
