    Question WebDAV and OWA

Since I am not an Exchange admin I figured that I would throw this out to anyone here who is.

It is my understanding that OWA uses a different implementation of WebDAV which is in no way connected to the WebDAV implementation that is installed by default with the Windows OS (on an IIS box). If this truly is the case, has anyone safely turned off the OS implementation of WebDAV on front-end OWA boxes without causing issues? I could be completely offbase here as my e-mail server experience is only with *nix systems.

    Thanks in advance

I manage a multi server Exchange environment, including OWA. I have not heard of what you mention, but will be happy to look into it.
