That's for the 1st code from the rover Spirit. We're talking about the second code from the rover Opportunity. It hasn't been published yet, so we're just speculating.
Windows 9x: n. A collection of 32 bit extensions and a graphical shell for a 16 bit patch to an 8 bit operating system originally coded for a 4 bit microprocessor. Written by a 2 bit company that can\'t stand 1 bit of competition.

they do say that the same rules apply and that it is a much less complicated code. I havent had time to try it yet as i actually had to work this week updateing our servers . Been doing a couple of all nighters.
It would be nice to have one or two clues thought !!!!!

    whee

Whee time to crack another code

Only bad part is I won't be able to do much except read all of your hunches until a few clues come up because I don't have any imaging software, at work, to really build off an image yet ><

    Until then..

I was just taking a quick look at the photo on the site and it looks like there is three distinct pattern groups. the basic patternens seem to be made up of a grid of three line by two rows. I am just guessing from looking at the picture on the site so i may be tottally wrong. I will see if a couple of hours sleep will help .
People who think virii are cool are not the ones who will are stuck cleaning up the mess afterwards.
