    give names of viruses and also gave to prevet our system for this viruses

    in india a new viruse now dancing "Desktop.ini" .
    this virus produce a new file "folder.htt" which is just like system file. this virus also found in operating system CD.when we install OS then it also copy in C:\Windows\....
    this virus copy itself and making new files and slowing the speed of our system.
    to difuse this viruse follow this steps:
    1.delete all files having name D... and F...
    2.one of them are not delete.
    3.going to MS Dos prompt.
    4.edit that by giving path and delete the coding part and save ur name.
    5.after this, the virus are not grows up ur system.

    Ehhm, I may have misunderstood you but you are describing something that's a feature of Windows (webfolder view in explorer), NOT a virus.

    Which virus are you referring to: VBS.Terrorist, Redlof.A, or something completely new?

    Hmmm MsMittens.. He says it's also on the Operating System CD.

    This can mean 2 things:

    1) It's the feature I described above; regular windows feature
    2) He's using a warez CD

    sounds like Teddy Bear... remeber that jxxxxx.exe with little teddy bear as icon...

    how can we teach users not to get themselves a virus with all those hoaxes circling arround???

    is it realy posible to run code from desktop.ini???
