    Question Encryption Strengths Available???

    Hello All,

Working on a project where i have to set up a VPN using L2TP/IPSec. It will mainly be used for within the United States, but I have someone who is traveling to United Arab Emerits next week.

Does anyone know where I can find a list of countries and what level of encryption that they natively support?

I am sending a laptop form the US with him, and plan on using 128bit encrytion, but sdo not want to find out its not supported when he gets over there. I remember reading way back that some countries don't support strong encryption or we cant export it to some countries....forget the actual rules on this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Will donate 1000 "Cool Points" for anyone with a correct answer...LOL :-)

ehm.. well all kinds of encryption are "supported"evrywhere,
it's just that you are not allowed to export it..

I don't know about the laws behind it, since I do live in a land of the free

But, I guess the real question that I am asking is this:

If I set up the laptop and it works correctly here in the US, is it possible that in the ISP gateways that high encryption is filtered out? I know i can get it working here, just want to see if anyone has had any problems or if it is possible that the Local ISP in UAE would restrict high encryption traffic?

Anyone else with suggestions or advice?

    Thanks for the feedback!

Nope, the encryption will not be filtered out !
