LOL... I wouldn't consider myself guru but rather a good "finder" of things.

Other places to learn security:

Mailing lists: You can find some decent newbie mailing lists at SecurityFocus.com as well as ones for your OS specifically (try typing your os + mailing list into Google -- I personally have subscriptions in SecurityFocus as well as Full Disclosure and some linux specific lists).

Newsgroups: Can be interesting and fun once you learn to ignore the multiple "get free penis enlargements", etc.

Tutorials: check out both Other Tutorials and Security Tutorials forums here at AO. Lots of good stuff there..
