    USB ports

Is there any software out there that will restrict USB ports to just one device? (i.e. We want to allow users to use pda's but not be able to install removable HD's, etc...).

Just wondering what other folks are doing, or if there are any software solutions out there that people recommend.

    thanks

Hmm... thats a little fishy if you're trying to allow just one device. http://www.devicelock.com/ will lock the USB for you, but I'm not sure if you can set it up to allow access only to a few devices on the USB.
    Here's an article on that:

    Hope that helps.

I found two products that seem to do what I need. Both being in the UK, strange that there isnt any from the US. Anybody use either? Seems like they are both client server based.

    Disknetpro from reflex-magnetics.com
    Securent from Securewave.com

    anybody have any opinions?

    thanks
