    I don't think that really matters ,"picking one close to you",that's if your talking about the speed your going to get. I usuallly pick high A's from Switzerland,& like some people say and it's true it will sometimes increase ones speed. I guess it's all in finding the best one.

    Ok depending on your os I have a few selections and advisorys for you.
    First off I think that stealther is a good program that hides the ips of windows users. "super stealth mode" isnt available only for the purchased users. Other then that the other one is.
    "anonymizer" but you also have to pay for that as well.
    Or you can just find proxy's from www.stayinvisible.com and upload them into your current running browser.
    That's why I do.
    So porxy's are different.
    socks v4 & v5 are different from another. And from a regular proxy.
    Socks v4 and v5 are on different ports then regular proxys.
    Most regular proxy's run on port 80 or 8080. Pending on the proxy.
