    Unhappy netsh

Log into Windows 2000 as a USER
    go to command prompt
    type netsh
    go into ras
    go to ipx
    type:
    set access
you get "Access is denied. Access is denied."
    same for
    show config
How do you get around this?
    thx

Sir Dice is correct. The netsh command can only be executed by admins.

    Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
    (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>netsh
    netsh>ras
    netsh ras>ipx
    netsh ras ipx>show config

    RAS IPX config

    Negotiation mode: allow
    Access mode: all
    Node number request mode: allow
    Assignment method: autosame
    IPX address pool base: 0
    IPX address pool size: dynamic

    netsh ras ipx>

Here is a link that will give you a great deal of NFOZ on netsh:
