Bitguard Firewall Version 2.4
Wanted to share my comments on Bitguard Firewall. I had the opportunity to test it out and found it to be a refreshing new and inventive firewall application. The following are some of my comments back to the developer on Bitguard. Also I will post their information from their web site on Bitguard.
Installation went smoothed with no problems in installing on my pc and there were no glitches.
After reboot on my system resources were showing at 84%. (Now in my opinion that is a bit of a draw on my system. Prior firewalls that I have tested were holding at 92 to 94% after reboot.
"Process in Memory"
Firewall exe - 8648kb
Firesvc exe - 6136kb
Again these are a bit of a draw on my pc......
My point being computers that don't have a lot of memory, this would strain ones pc a bit.
Your main interface is quite impressive to say the least!
Very easy to understand for the novice and advanced user. You have some very nice features incorporated in Bitguard such as the Matrix....I have never seen anything like this before!!
Logs........configuration........basic settings.......ip tracking and resolving....all these features are a plus ....nicely laid out........
Here are the following sites I have tested Bitguard against.
Bitguard passed all these port scans 100% Stealth!!
A.) In reference to the resouces this is a small problem from my view point. The resource level should hold around 92 to 95 % after reboot.
B.) Bitguard seems to draw more than average on resources.
The following is a direct quote from Bitguard Web Site on their firewall.:
