    With reference to this Post.

According to this article here, the latest variant of Netsky doesn't even need anyone to open an attachment as it uses XML (which can be rendered through an email client in a preview pane). Downright scary!
This is why i posted, as if i had No AV i would be infected.

Just a reminder to those who may doubt the use of AV.

But how effective is a virus scanner against an infection via the Preview Pane? If it's in the message, then a virus scanner wont pick it up untill AFTER your infected and it creates its first file. The preview pane is a stupid idea anywayz.

Scanned before the preview, the message is downloaded by the AV and scanned before bieng passed to email client.
