    Hey Hey,

Since I'm SO SURE this is 100% legit and most likely for corporate use (if you forget a single home user password, you should be shot for being a moron ). Anyways since this is for corporate use and completely legal uses why don't you go out and buy a copy of ERD Commander 2003 (have they released 2004 yet?). It has a great locksmith utility that will let you reset passwords. We also have a floppy password modifier that boots a small linux distro and lets you remove the password, however I forget the name of it.

    Peace,
    HT

PS. I was being overly sarcastic in case you didn't notice.... you couldn't sound like more of a skiddie if you tried...

There are other ways if security has not been set up properly, also you don't state the scenario..............with physical access you can own any system for example.

    cheers

    Password

I have physical access to the machine, but need to bypass the 'user name' and 'password' for Windows. Am doing this for a friend who lost password and can not get into the system anymore.

    Hey Hey,

Ok this is a little off topic, but I really have to ask? How do you lose your own password? I mean seriously. You picked the damn password, how do you forget it. Do you get hit in the head and have amnesia, so you have no clue what it is anymore? Anyone who says they've lost the password to their own machine, I think we should shoot them. I'm all for the elimination of idiots from the world, God knows we have more than enough of them. Let's take em out back and crucify them.

I'm still not buying this, just based on previous comments you made. I think you and your little friends want to go surf porn and you're pissed off that your parents have password protected the computer. Can't beat net-nanny so you'll log into an account that doesn't have it maybe? Like seriously... if he really did forget his password.. kill him. He doesn't deserve to live... if he didn't forget his password... grow the F@#$ up.

    Peace,
    HT

We don't need drama or bashing. This question is asked every week on AO, if he was smart he would have searched for the information. Now since it is common knowledge among us, just give him the answer and lets drop this.

Exactly..............which is why I mentioned physical access .......hell I have boxes at home that have the admin password scotch taped to the top of them............there is nothing significant on them so it doesn't matter?

At the end of the day reformat and reinstall...............teach you the error of your ways?

And how do I hack my wife's e-mail?........errr.... login with her user name and password? well she can never find the bit of paper she wrote it down on, so I have to do it for her..............hell, maybe we actually trust eachother?

I do appreciate people getting a little bored with this sort of question.........I would have thought that even your average skiddie would have done the research themselves...........I guess the people asking are genuine enough.......they are just sooooooooooo lazy?

    Just my thoughts
