suggest assembler and tutorials

i m a newbie to assemble lang.. i dont have any new compliers .
Can i get MASM for FREE coz i dont have cash in hand.Also is there any site that provide quick and easy tutorials (latest ones and not 5 or 4 years old) for free.

assemble lang... lol man You haven't even looked for an assembler. http://www.masm32.com/ You could also get HLA which is basicly MASM packaged with different IDEs and some kick-ass debugging. Its major flaw is that there is no worth while tutorials or example source with HLA though. MASM comes with plenty of examples source, its popularly used... im sure you won't find trouble finding your info.

thanx "TheSpecialist" but i didnt said i have no assembler. have but they r old like nasm tasm16 and tasm 32 also a86. also i wanna know is that ok for a beginner to used them.

Ummm.... so you want 64-bit executables then correct? I guess 32-bit processing is so old that most software out now days "is not" win32. And I guess that 64-bit proccessing can no longer handel or emulate for 32-bit executables?

I highly doubt you can mess up your computer by compling something wrong because if you attempt to compile wrong it won't compile at all because the compiler wouldn't allow it and it can only mess up your computer if it contains some malicious code and you compile & run it. Don't know all that much about it though, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

In a word "no". If you are writing programs that mess with the way your operating system works, then you may cause yourself some grief. Even then, compiling it won't do anything, you would have to run it with the correct permissions. Just be sure to save the original apps, don't just replace them. Also, you need to understand the OS very well before even attempting anything like that!

I am guessing you might have heard stuff about viruses and the like written in assembler? well they are also written in VBS, C, Delphi etc.

Obviously, if you are writing something that requires registry entries it would be wise to back up the registry first. But apart from and including that you should be perfectly safe.

No I have not. Not at all now see theres a difference between me and everyone else... for example I don't have anything worth saying. I get AP for being what others would call an ass, saying something that I don't find particularly funny but everyone else does, being here under a name that peaple will reconise, or mostly peaple feel sorry for me because im a little slow and I take special classes.
