Sigh..another newbie that cannot seem to read.

    Hey Combo1 welcome to AO

Please read this site's FAQ and try and use the search functionality.

It's hard enough to keep up with all the new posts but things tend to get pretty boring if everyone is asking the same questions. Sometimes we feel like a broken record giving the same answers over and over again.

What happens if a big asteroid hits the Earth? Judging from realistic simulations involving a sledge hammer and a common laboratory frog, we can assume it will be pretty bad. - Dave Barry

ahhhh jinxy.. you posted the same link as groovicus did..

thanks groovicus, you pointed out a thread in which that hijackthis log needs a bit more work on.

combo1, I would run adaware and spybot (after updating them online) then grab hijackthis and post a log.. I'm almost certain that there'll be other entries in the log that will need fixing.
I'll let you google for adaware and spybot but here's a link for hijackthis..

    taken from this page, hijackthis.exe

put the hijackthis executable in it's own folder.. (ie like c:\somedirectory\hjt\hijackthis.exe) and run it from there and post a log.. don't delete any entries yet.

but first look at the links suggested..

I use Firefox as a web browser, so I don't really have issues w/ spyware and/or pop-ups. Maybe you would like to give it a try.
