Post Exchange 5.5 with blank originators

Hey has anyone seen blank originators in Exchange 5.5 under the Internet Mail Connector? I've been seeing it allot lately when I look at the outbound que and i'm trying to figure out what's going on. I'm not sure if it's a relay happening from the outside of if a user internally has some spamming program on there system. It shows the destination but the originator is <>.

    Any input would be appreciated..
If at first you don\'t succeed, f**k it try something else.

What do you see in the tracking log? A lot of time system messages will appear to have a null sender. System messages would be read/delivery notifications, and NDRs.

Without message tracking you are not going to be able to tell definitively what the messages are. With message tracking it would take about 5 minutes to tell if what you are seeing are system messages an legitimate, or if they are something that is not legitimate on your network.
