No no. What I meant by 'back up' was to "prove it". I wanted him to prove his statement.
I can`t back it up....and i shouldn`t have said what i said publicly.I am sorry if i`ve offended anyone in the community with my statements.

    It`s just a hunch i guess...like i said i think he is full of ****.

My os is XP pro with service pack 1, I happened to find I am denied to delete IPC$,why?
    Can IPC$ be deleted?
    appreciated any reply...
Doesn`t sound like something a n00b would do. I guess this is where i drew my first conclusion. not to mention the rest of his posts.

Did some quick research and found a better way to disable access to the share instead of deleting it (which may be haphazard, can't remember, been a while since I was in XP)

    from : http://www.tweakxp.com/tweak1413.aspx

Remove IPC$ Share Remote Netbios Attack Vulnerability
    1. Open Regedit
    2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> System -> CurrentControlSet -> Control -> Lsa -> restrictanonymous
    3. Change "Value Data" from 0 to 1
    4. This will disable remote logon to a null IPC$ share

    thx, but no need,
    I know command: net share $ /delete,and I delete all except IPC$
    I just don't know why I can't delete IPC$, because I remember I can when I use windows2000,
I guess there maybe some differences between XP and 2000,
or maybe I use the wrong command or method,
    so I post here...so u understand?

    Tomyahoo,

Please do not worry. Your English is enormously superior to my Chinese

If you are anything like me with languages, reading it is quite easy, writing it is not?

    Do you play Tsiang Chi?

    Good luck
