I voted "other" because some "popup blockers" don't even have to be a specific program designed for blocking popups.

I use Opera 7.5 (licensed, love it) and when I don't use Opera, I use Firefox (very good). Without having to use IE for anything other than updates, I can ignore about 98% of the popups that occur with IE (without the Google toolbar installed) and by turning the messenger service off, I can avoid the rest.

Opera's "refuse unwanted" is the best, IMHO.
We the willing, led by the unknowing, have been doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much with so little for so long that we are now qualified to do just about anything with almost nothing.

I use firefox to block all my stuff but when I use IE I use what used to be a free program called Freesurfer, always worked great and still does. You can get it from download.com

I was wondering if anyone else was giong to mention EMS FreeSurfer. On the rare occasions I use IE, I rely on that little program. Most of the time I'm on Firefox though.

When using IE: IESpyad+Proxmitron...sometimes just Avant Browser does the trick

When using Mozilla: Multizilla+Adblock...pretty smooth sailing thus far...

That's about it....oh and of course an extensive Hosts file!
