I (Fyodor) wrote this story as a chapter of Stealing the Network: How to Own a Continent. In this book, I teamed with FX, Joe Grand, Kevin Mitnick, Ryan Russell, Jay Beale and several other hackers to write individual stories that combine to describe a massive electronic financial heist. While the work is fiction, we tried to portray realistic attacks and technology. For example, my character Sendai uses Nmap, Hping2, Ndos, and similar tools to exploit network configuration and software vulnerabilities commonly found in the wild. Excuse me, is there an airport nearby large enough for a private jet to land?

yeah anyone that is signed up on the nmap mailing list also got the same email.
The book is alright if you like fictional stuff, a couple of the techniques in there are realish. Not exactly real but not really fake. You will see what I mean if you read the book.
I only read like 3 - 5 chapters of it while at a bookstore.
