    Need wifi antenna- Any ideas?

    I have a Sony TR series notebook and at some points I am out of range of my router. I am trying to find an antenna but not sure what I should get. I don't need that gain. I am only out of range about 20 yards. I am thinking about 5dB gain?

    Do you have a plug in for an antenna?

    There are several PCI cards that have antenna's avalible for them, and they usually have a plug in on the end of the card. You have to buy the antenna seperately. If you have a plug in some where, then perhaps one of their antenaas might work for you.

    I do know that proxim Orinoco cards do have the option of adding a external antenna.

    Okay I don't have the laptop with me but have the specs. I tired looking to see if there was an available antenna @ sony and also @ intel but could not find one. Where else would I look to find out?

    I looked around and found something but I need to look at the notebook to make sure that I even have a place for a antenna hook-up.
