    Strange Problem

    Hi,
    Im Sunny.
I dont kno whether this is the second time Im writing
the same prob to u.Sorry for the inconvenience if u've
already read it but Im really frustrated with this thing
    and it goes like this:

    I read an article on
    "Obtaining IP addresses better".In that
I started with "Through An IM Service"
    which stated as follows:
"Step 1 - Log into your IM service (ex. MSN Messenger, AIM, Icq)
Step 2 - Locate your target, make sure they are online.
Step 3 - Talk to them for a bit. Make them feel comfortable.
Step 4 - Talk them into receiving a file from you
(Tell them it's a game or somthin' they like)
Step 5 - While you're sending, open up your Command Prompt
and type "netstat -n" (without the ")
Step 6 - Look at the list of IPs under the "Foreign Address" column.
Step 7 - Your target's IP will be the one that has the port of 6000 (for
MSN) and above, OR 5190 for AIM.
After the IP there will be two dots like this : and then a
    number (ex. 122.22.1.2:8020)
The number after the : is the port. So look for the port that you
need (MSN or AIM), and the IP beside it, will be your target's.

I did exactly as it is mentioned above.
I kno that u need to have a Direct Connection
    which I did.

    I've got cablenet.I'm having 2 IPs internal 'n external.
When I visit sites which checks the ip I get my external
    IP.
I'm not having proxy on my machine. So its obvious
that my cablenet provider has set up proxy or
something for all the machines on his network.

Now the funny part is that when I use the netstat -n command
to check my friends IP on MSN instead of getting his IP
I'm getting my own External IP in the foreign address list.

Is there any way I can still use the netstat -n command
    'n get my friends IP??

    Plz help.

    Sunny

I would b glad to chat with u directly.
    My msn id is:sunny_mastermind@hotmail.com

I don't know if range affects the size of a bullet wound, perhaps I'll learn by trying myself...you wanna volunteer? I'm thinking of using a Desert Eagle, it will get a little messy so bring extra clothes to change to.

Bad correlation, but Its one thing to learn...and its one thing to learn how to do malicious things. Tell u what, start learning about security, not how to crack, and you'll be able to put the pieces of the puzzle together. Ok, once you got the individual's IP then what? You're going to ask us how you can install a backdoor on his computer? What is the point of your question, or the goal...Just by Direct Connecting you can get the person's IP by typing netstat -n, or netstat -a in your command prompt...whichever one suits your skiddie needs best. Nice of you to put your msn IM....you wanna try direct connecting to me....i'll help ya out. My IP is 127.0.0.1....try hacking me.

    Cheers.

LOL, this is too good to pass up.

If you are a mastermind, you already know the answer to this very basic question.

It find it really hilarious that every numbnut that has a question like this *always* has one of the following words in their handle:

    1)Genious
    2) 1337
    3) Haxor
    4) Spy
    5) Guru

Because you are of such superior intellect, I would be wasting my time pointing you to the site FAQ. All of the masterminds that I know have already read through it and understand that you don't ask "How do I hack..." questions here.
