Thread: Installing Free BSD 5.0

  1. #11
I just downloaded the ISO's for FreeBSD 5.1 (couldn't find 5.0). Do I only need disc1 or disc2 ISO? I downloaded both, but I need to know which one I need to burn to CD.

disk one is the install, two is the 'recovery' disk....so burn one...and don't forget to add the ports tree
Every now and then, one of you won't annoy me.

The Mini Install, I believe, is a mini install

OK in all seriousness, I think it's an installer like trimmed down. I've never used it myself, but I'm sure http://www.freebsd.org will have more information. http://www.linuxiso.org says it is a minimal boot install. So I'm going to take a guess saying it's some form of trimmed version as I had first guessed.

KorpDeth, thanks man. I appreciate it. Now if you'd come back more often!
