You'll probably get the ISP's addfress. But you can download NeoTracePro (FREE) here: http://www.5star-shareware.com/Inter.../neotrace.html

Do you mean like enter ip, get home address.
If so get real.

Most people have a random IP assigned to them by the ISP each time they connect to the internet. These IPs are taken from a large block the ISP owns.
If you were to use the DOS command tracert IPAddress you could probably get a pretty good idea of where they are located though just by reading the router names.
Or VisualRoute is good too. It can be found at http://visualroute.visualware.com (free registration required).

You might like to get a copy of Sam Spade 1.14 and play with the features in that?
I don't quite understand your question though...............if you have the IP address, then you will only find the ISP node that they use................you won't find the street or town even, not even the county?
If they are using a proxy, you won't get anything of any use, not even the right continent

There's a great program that comes pre-installed called VoiceBox.
First, you dial the person's home phone number on a touch-tone phone.
Then, implement VoiceBox by passing the following string:
Code:
Hey, n, what's up? ;
Can I have your address? ;
Where n is the person's name.
The short answer is: you can't. There is no way to resolve physical location based solely on an IP address...
If there were, I'd be hesitant to give that information out to a person whose handle is "killem all" anyway...
Above ground, vertical, and exchanging gasses.

You're such a bumbling ****. First of all what if you're on a private internal address? Second, if you're not, you'll just get the location of the ISP (mentioned above). Third of all, that tool is a peice of ****. I just ran it, and ME being in SACRAMENTO, CA. The thing showed me being in NY.
My sincerest dislike,
Quad
