    i think i have to reformat my whole hard disk.. do i still have any way to recover all my files????

    Wait what happned ...at the prompt type sys c: what error message did it give......

    baa Do you have the Windows 98 CD? You can reinstall Windows 98 ........Do not Format Just reinstall windows 98 again........From the same CD you did before.........you will get back everything ....you had before......Just remember to use the same CD you have used before.

    You won't lose any programs or data. except you might be prompted to load a few Device drivers again..........thats windows 98 way of doing a repair install....as far as i remember there is not option in the windows 98 to do a repair install...so i just reinstall it again ......it does without loosing all the programs and the data
