    Microsoft Delays Three Windows Upgrades

Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 and 64-bit "extended" versions of Windows are pushed back to next year.
Microsoft has fallen behind schedule with the development of three upgrades to Windows and is pushing back the timetable for delivering the software, the company disclosed Tuesday.

In order for that to happen microsoft is going to have to work pretty damn hard to pull that one off. and develop some kick ass code for it.

Wouldn't that involve basically scrapping IE and starting from scratch with a whole new browser?

it does kind of make sense that they push the update back since there are not very many patches... not only that, but they have been putting so much effort into sp2 for windows xp...

It's not like they wrote IE to begin with.

Look at KMFMS. They got the source to Mosaic supposedly, and after re-writing few things gave it away free as IE, which put the other company out. KMFMS has no reasons to lie, but if they are, they sure put a lot of effort into it.
