Agents seized a document showing plans for a U.S. naval battle group operating in the Strait of Hormuz, by the Persian Gulf. The U.S. Navy has con-firmed that the information, which included the battle group’s movements on April 29, 2001, is authentic. It described the ships’ vulnerability to a ter-rorist attack, court documents show.

"Fortunately, no attack oc-curred," O’Connor said.

Court documents further al-lege that Ahmad received e-mail correspondence in 2000 and 2001 from a U.S. Navy enlistee on active duty aboard the U.S.S. Benfold. A July 2001 e-mail from the enlistee praised the March 2001 attack on the U.S.S. Cole which killed 17 sailors, officials said
