Best way to ask for comments on a tutorial I’m working on
I’m working on an update of an old article I wrote. When I’m finished I plan to post it to the tutorials section. Since the subject is so broad (Answers to common question about what you can find out with just an IP address) I know there will be a lot of comments/suggestions. Should I go ahead and post it in the tutorials section or should I post it somewhere else first so I can get suggestions for additions and better ways to phrase things?

Well there are a few ways to do this:
- 1. Send it to a few people you respect here and ask them for their ideas/suggestions
2. Post in it a place like GCC to get comments/suggestions and post the final in the appropriate Tutorials section
I wouldn't post it in the Tutorials section until it's ideally complete. Otherwise, we'd need to either move it or delete the thread later.

Go ahead and post it in tutorials, and invite commentary/questioning on it. That's what the threads are for, as I understand it. Alternatively, you could set up a conference room or PM specific members for input as you're writing it. I'm sure it'll be a high-quality tutorial though, judging by your previous work.
/edit -- Blast it! MsM beat me to the punch again! Ok, well, disregard everything I jus said.

You can always edit after a few suggestions, just don't wait too long or else you wont be able to do so. I've a few tutorials that I wrote when I first came here where I even link to warez sites.

Can't you only edit a tutorial for something like 24hrs?

Yup. That's why it might be better to send it to someone(s), get comments and then post it. Or get the comments publically and post the final edition when you are satisfied you got enough comments.

Iron, You could also send it to a senior/addict you trust and have them post it for you in the addicts section. Then they could cut and paste the suggestions to you in a pm.
Personally, I would just send it to a couple of people that you respect the opinion of and have them proof read it for you, as MsM suggested. Or if you wish to reach a number of people at the same time ( as AngelicKnight suggested) you could post it in a conference room and send invitations to your prospective proof readers with the key to the room
I have only written one tutorial, and I wish that I had taken the time to get the input of some of the members here before I posted it. I'm sure it would have been much more complete and a better written tutorial if I had of.

Best thing is
1) Send by PM to peoples
2) Post in Addicts
I disagree in posting in GCC.
