Seagate have brought out a new Hard Disk scanner. It's called SeaTools, and you can either (please correct me if I'm wrong) run it off the site or download it free off www.seatools.info/en/pr. This downloadable version enables you to either create two bootable (A:\) disks or a bootable CD. Then insert it, make sure your BIOS is set to run it, and reboot your PC. From there just follow the straightforward steps and scan your Hard Disk for problems.
1 in 3 Hard Disk Drives returned to Seagate each year believing to be corrupt and actually in mint condition! So before you decide to throw ur HDD away, download this and check out what's wrong with it (if there's anything )!
