im getting the same error on 2 machines. Both have NIS 2002. When i deactivate it, i can run windows update. However, nothing is blocked on those. Started to happen after last patch, that has updated the windows update engine. No clue until now

I tried the update on my new laptop with sp1 installed and already updated with the free security update CD. I don't have NIS and have just uninstalled the preinstalled Trend Micro Internet Security and have no idea for the cause of this error.
