Thread: Win XP SP2 problems.

    Thanks for the advice everyone. Good ideas all around. It turns out that this was an issue with the cable modem, where it happened to booger up on my post SP2 reboot. Had to install a new cable modem and wallah, it works like a champ.

    Just for reference, did SP2 cause the problem with the cable modem?

    Chances are mav, probablly not. Even before SP2 I had to replace my comcast modem merely because it was wearing out. The newer black release cable modems kick ass, and solved my similar problem he had.

    Nope SP2 had no mal-affect on the cable-modem. It just up and died.
