    Concern over Adaware and Hotbar

Hi Guys.. was just informed about this thread on the Lavasoft forums.. could be a good point of discussion..

    http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index...howtopic=44037

check the comments toward the end..
At the time of our removal of HotBar from detection they had worked with us in order to pass our Threat Assesment Chart.
Our research of the product including the installation process and evaluation of their written policies allowed their exclusion from detection.
You must realize that in some instances, if a program clearly states what it is doing and proides the user with proper options they could pass our TAC.
    Comments,.....

Just for thought.. Check out their criteria for the TAC (Threat Assesment Chart)

    Anyone installed Hotbar recently?

just a quick quote from HB's licence and privacy statement.. (EULA if you like)..

You may remove certain features of Hotbar Software by using the following uninstall links:

To remove Hotbar software from your mail application use: Outlook Tools by Hotbar.

To remove Hotbar software from your browser application use: Web Browser Tools by Hotbar.

To remove the Hotbar comparative shopping application use: Shopper Reports Adapter.

If you wish to remove Hotbar Software altogether, you need to uninstall the Software using Microsoft's Windows control panel add/remove software function and remove all three applications above, or use the complete uninstaller.

    Cheers

    Add your own cliche' here.......

I believe that E-Bay has in it's EULA the rider that they will hold ALL data from your contacts with the site INDEFINETELY.
