Error 1083
I am trying to enable file sharing on my computer i am running windows xp. When i try to share a folder it tells me that the server service is not started so i go to start the server service and i keep getting this error. error "1083: The executable program that this service is configured to run in does not implement the service."
Anyone know how to get past this problem?

What happens when you run services.msc? what is the status of terminal services?
Have you checked that all the required software was loaded when XP was installed?
Are you using an account/profile with sufficient authority?
You might try running Windows repair, just in case something has become corrupted?
Is this your machine or part of someone else's network............in which case you need to talk to the administrators.
