System Restore can'nt start

Hello.

I scanned one laptop for viruses and got problem efter that.

System Restore service could not start (it was disabled b4 scanning)

I tried to start it with help of manipulation of DisableSR in register file and start agane but i got message about that file is missing. I looked on microsoft home page but found nothing that i should need. It not showing what kind of is missing.

AV scanners that i used is
console: DrWeb, SopHos free scan utility
winmode: eScan free utility

AntiSpyWare: Ad-Aware

could it be that some of them that damaged system?
or exist some viruses that can damage system restore service?

i have just SP1
