NEC nd3500a DVD+-RW
Has anyone used this dvd burner yet? I have read nothing but good reviews and comments on this drive. Just wanted to get some input before I get one for myself.
Would you guys recommend getting the NEC nd3500a external USB2 model? I know they have it on eBay for like $105. I think it's the OEM nd3500a internal drive stuck in a external shell...is that what it is?
Well give me some input so I can have the reassurance of going with my decision.
thanks,
james

I highly recommend the ND3500A, get it from newegg for $75; just buy the internal one

I have used it successfully at 16x write speeds on +/- R media as well as 4x speed on R9 dual layer media.
Media choice is just as important as drive choice as well, and I recommend either Taiyo-Yuden DVD Media, Ridata Ritek DVD Media; both avaiable from

I have good experiences with the NEC 2500A, the 3500A is probably the same quality you can expect from NEC
