I'm Still Getting Two Email Notifications ...
Since after your post Mnstrgrl.
Are you sure you backed out the changes? Not that I should doubt you!
Are posting times based on GMT or the users local time? If local that might explain things.
Tomorrow is another day for yesterdays work!

Use 'Email Notification' by default?
Using this option emails you whenever someone replies to a thread that you have participated in. no
I still get e-mail notification of things I subscribed in - with this at no, I shouldn't get the e-mails right? I usually just check the "site subscriptions" for what I've subscribed to, I don't check my e-mail that often. Any clarification would help. Thanks.
BTW, I got an e-mail about this thread...

No, if you're subscribed, you will get the notification. What I'm saying is that if you use the full reply form, the option to subscribe to the thread is included in the form. That option isn't present in the quick reply form.
Tim_axe -- if you have email notification on by default, that means the subscribe option in the full reply form will be pre-selected. If you uncheck the option, you shouldn't get the notifications. I believe if you use the quick reply form, you won't be subscribed, but I'll have to check on that to be sure.
