    setting up NIS server

    I have just used the AO search feature never found anything about how to setup NIS server.. can anyone simplify pls? Any bash commands for it?

    I know that. I had found it. I was just wondering if ppl here have written simplified tutorial or can give me straight to the point commands. I can't go threough all that...that's damn long.

    NIS is a complicated thing, this is the 'simplified' tutorial. Why do you think it's called a HOWTO? I could have directed you to the man pages and have you figure it out by yourself. I'm sure you'll do a whole lot more reading that way.

    Also note the subtle hint I made about Google.......
