    Question Perl for beginners

I'm looking for some Perl books for beginners, and I know that a while ago I started a similar thread, but I bought 'Perl in a Nutshell' and I think it's a bit too advanced for me to learn by myself. I have searched Google, and AO specifically, and I found this thread which was very useful, but I just want to know your view on them. The books in that thread are: Beginning Perl and SAMS Teach Yourself Perl in 24 Hours. If any of you know these books, feel free to recommend or criticise them! If you have any other suggestions, please let me know!

    Thanks in advance

Sorry for double-posting, but I can't edit my last post any more. The book Beginning Perl is out of print, because when I went to order it the bookshop said I couldn't! So, does anyone know the name of a good Perl book for beginners? Even if you just post the name of the book, please can you. Thanks
