acshield
can anyone tell me about acshield. it was on my pc and i used uninstall to remove it but there are still registry keys i cannot remove. how can i delete these? regedit 32 says unable to delete this key.

Have you tried removing them after booting into safe mode (F8) ?

tried that. i get a message " unable to delete all values, error deleting key. i have tried using a couple of third party reg cleaners also and they will not remove it either. i am running windows xp (forgot to mention that on my post). the program uninstalled using its uninstall routine but i can't remove any registry entries. i also tried to use system restore to go back to a point before it was installed but restore gives me an error also.

ok finally figured it out. even tho i was logged in as admin i still had to go into permissions for the key and set full control. after that i was able to delete it all. thanks for your quick reply. it did set me to thinking of other ways to get around this. thanks !!
