Top 10 hits for the month.
For the month of Sept. the top 10 hits on my network were....
10. wisapidata.weatherbug.com
9. www.comcast.net
8. www.google.com
7. rw.launch.yahoo.com
6. ehg-dig.hitbox.com
5. cdn.mapquest.com
4. rad.msn.com
3.ar.atwola.com
2.view.atdmt.com
and the number on site for hit in
Sept...
1. ad.doubleclick.com
So question...what do all the prefeixes mean? ie. "rad".msn.com
Romans 7:14-20
14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.

Rad could mean "research and development."

That's wierd, http://rad.msn.com/ pulls up an empty page with "RADC11" -- why would that show up on your "most visited" list?
Good question!
It looks like they're simply not systems names...

If you're speaking in pure networking terms, rad is a host on the domain msn.com.
As for what the hostname means, it can be anything. Typically, they aren't going to name hosts what they are if they don't want you to be able to figure it out. I wouldn't name a host that's a honeypot something like: honeypot.hackme.com if I didn't want people to know what it is.
I can tell you one thing by looking at your top 10 list. Start running SpyBot or something of the like. Your users are eating up bandwidth that could be used for far better purposes like a SOCOM server.

Hi
rad.msn.com is a Adv-Server just as ad.doubleclick.com
Isen't all that hard to make out after you see the message..
This is a default test page for the Advertising Delivery System (ADS) indicating
you have successfully pinged an individual IIS Server by IP.
they must be using it on Hotmail and microsoft.com
Hmmmmm this leads to global.msads.net
My host File says
127.0.0.1 rad.msn.com
127.0.0.1 ad.doubleclick.com
when it comes to hits ...................Advertisment servers will always lead the pack
