I cannot play my cd's with my cdrom but I can listen music from the other partition in my drive.My output while cat /dev/cdrom is like this.

linux:~ # cat /dev/cdrom
cat: /dev/cdrom: Input/output error

Can anyone tell me what is difference between /dev and /media ?
