More Options For Tutorial

Well i have a suggestion regarding the tutorial section dunno you ppl. like it or not but....... Ok while writing my tutorial i cameup with a major problem. I need to explain few things with the help of some diagram and i think you have restricted too much there only test.... I mean atleast one could have drawing tool sort of thing to make boxes or stuff like that. So i would suggest if you can look into the matter n c if anything can be done ......

I don't think it would be fesible to do that ............What you can do is make a PDF or a doc file whichever you like and attach it ......................this way you will be able to make diagrams.

I know i can do that ...... but the problem is that sometimes you have to explain things from them directly otherwise the person reading it would first download the document then will have to c the diagram and read the text on the other hand if its explain right with the text it would be easier for him....... N im not saying that diagram with huge graphics stuff like that im just emphasizing on tools for drawing rectangle , arrows and circles simple this in which u can write ..... cause the upcoming tutorials i have to explain few packets headers...... for that i have to attach files seperately ..... huh..... have to zip then n then attach ...... Anyway it was just a suggestion in my mind ...... thnx for comments

Yes writing the text here and attaching the gaphics seperatly will make it confusion ..........i am not suggesting that ..............I meant you could make the whole tutorial that way ,...........not just the diagram....................you can make the whole tutorial in PDF or DOC format and attach it .


Or you might want to learn the art of making ASCII pictures

Why bother, JupM as a whole seems over it's head with us half the time... look at how much stuff we have and never use most of which is cluttering or just messes with the play-doh' themed look of the site. Oh wait, I know, you know what? Screw it... lets just put it up in the top/middle area of the site. Bleh HAH!

If you can't attach something then put it up on your own server and post up a URL. Thats what everyone else has done and they don't seem to mind getting a few hits every now and agian. Sounds like you want something like video professor? Haha wow, one might take offense to that.

Speaking of him... here is a guy who's opening moment in alot of comercials and various things is him closeing the CD-tray by pushing it inward instead of pressing the button which is frikin' inches away from his hand ! And anyone who has seriously worked on computers like I have should know that on all those desktops there is usually a belt which turns these wheels or gears which slides the CD-tray in and out... well, by jaming it in like that you could damage a few things.

Putting on a server and posting wont be a good idea i think, cause users have to first look for the tutorial in the section then will goto to the specified link and then read from there ..... so why we have a section of tutorials here.... simply one could put it in general chit chat or other and say heres the link to my tutorial and thats it.... n wht if someone wants to add comment on it? wht if someone wants to point out any problem in it? wht if someone wants to add something in it.....?

ANyway its ur opinion. what can i say.

FanacooL You got it all worng.............. what TheSpecialist was trying to say in his own mysterious way and I too would like to say that too is why not try and work with what we have rather adding a new functionality...................is it that necessary? ..............and it alsomeans TheSpecialist like you ................you will need the AO decoder ring to decode these super hidden messages ..........and that will be posted to you once you will stick around long enough

I can understand what you are trying to say a picture speaks thousand words...........and adding diagrams between would increase the quality of the tutorial....................but don't you think there are ways to do it with current functinality...................1. Write the whole tutorial with diagrams and all in PDF format and just post the tutorial as an attachment.............2. Post those pictures on another server and link them between the lines in the tutorial................3. Use ASCII art to make pictures in ASCII i know thats a hard thig to do but is a option..

I mean what next flash plugins and media plugin in between posts.........alter the site code...........introduce more bugs in the process

There is nothing preventing people from posting comments and suggestions here. Either way, it is up to the writer to maintain good material. You make it sound as if people are going to edit your posts for you or something.
