    found at the related link:

You don't need to know how an auto engine works to drive a car. Same with Internet Investigations.
They expect me to take this serious? A police officer that uses this to gain access or whatever is nothing more than an armed skiddie in a stupid blue costume imho.

I'm not sure what the legal aspects are of this, but how will they implement this on a global scale as stated? I guess it could work/is legal in the us, but as far as i know it's not legal here.
    (in the netherlands that is)
why not use the same court order to track the user down by asking the isp, and confiscating the equipment?

that might work in the US too, but here they would call it getting evidence in a wrong way, and therefor not suitable for court...

It's called entrapment, and it's an automatic dismissal of any charges.

Anyone who falls for that ad is, in my opinion, too stupid to even own a computer...

That makes no sense whatsoever. It would have to be a trick b/c if they really needed to hack into a computer they would ask for assistance from someone that is already a government employee. Like the FBI. Perhaps the military... Or they would find an alternative solution. Cops hate working w/ "civilians" and I doubt they would be too thrilled about working with (and paying) a self proclaimed criminal. It is more likely a trap and I'd wager they aren't actually looking for any "good" hackers b/c they probably know that anyone that is any good at all would most likely have enough common sense (and paranoia - that comes with the territory) to avoid this. They'll just wind up with a bunch of skiddies.
