I've got 512 MB of RAM... it's always been like this for me (even on different computers): Firefox (0.8, 0.9 and 1.0) doesn't like PDF's (or it doesn't like me opening PDF's ). I shouldn't have to reinstall Acrobat for Firefox to be able to open them

    And I still like PrevX.

    I run:

    Linksys Nat Broadband router
    Zone Alarm Pro 5
    Norton Antivirus Corporate 9.0
    Spyware Blaster
    Spybot
    Adaware Pro
Wintasks Pro 5 (just when I'm curious)

As far as software firewalls go, zone alarm is definitely the way to go. It is easily customized, blocks ARP Poison, blocks server connections, can block fragments, plugs into some popular AVs and tells you when it is out of date or if there is some interruption in it's monitoring process, and much more.

Adobe 6 can be slow on most any system at least until you run adobe speed-up and set it to turbo.
