    GNUWin II

    Hey Hey,

I ran a quick search and I couldn't believe that this site didn't turn on.. Either it's been overlooked for too long, or I'm an idiot.... I'm going with the latter.. anyways... on with the post...

Anyways, I found a CD software bundle called GNUWin II.

Q1: What is GNUWin II ?
R1: GNUWin-II is a free software distribution for MS-Windows. It includes a large spectrum of programs, notably a whole office suite (MS-Office compatible), Internet utilities, development tools (C, C++, ...), typesetting software (LaTeX), calculus environments, games, ...
The software list is quite impressive..

I've got the CDs downloading right now... They're, of course, free and available here.. I'll post a review and let you know how they are when I'm finished.

Just thought I'd pass along the link and see if anyone has used the bundle and what they thought of it... The latest release is dated August 12, 2004.

    Peace,
    HT

I prefer to make my own, but a good find nontheless.

I find it interesting that they use Phoenix instead of Firefox. It must be quite old or the list hasn't been updated to reflect the actual software.

    Hey Hey,

The Phoenix directory on the CD is actually empty... They have FireFox 0.9 on the CD... I'm actually enjoying the software on the CD... they are quite impressive... unfortunately the images don't work on the first CD (at least not for me...) so it's not overly pleasing to look at... but it works fine on the bonus CD...

    Peace,
    HT

Yep, so the list wasn't updated. I didn't notice it was listed as "Mozilla Firefox" though, my bad.

No. If you want you can make one of your own, or use the one HT posted here.
