    Linux bootscreen wont recognize windows

    Not sure if this is the right forum to post in but here goes

    i have 2 harddrives

    hard drive A contains my Linux OS (rh8)
    hard drive B contains Windows XP home

    my problem is when im on a linux bootscreen is there any way i can get an option to boot to the windows harddrive instead of the linux one and vice versa. Because my only option on the boot screen is linux



    help me im a newb

    Yes, there is. I'd need a couple of pieces of information to help you out:
    - Which bootloader are you using? Lilo or Grub are the two most often used, and I believe the default for RH8 was lilo.
    - How many partitions did you create on each drive, and where is XP home located in terms of partitions? (ie: Hard drive B, first partition becomes hdb1).

    I am using GRUB for my bootloader
    and as for partitions on my hard drives im not sure how many i have..im dumb i just know that linux is on one and windows is on another..


    oh jeez what did i get myself into... :-(
