Linux SuSE 9.1 Professional
I just got a new box, I am running an AMD Athlon XP 2600+, 512 mb DDR, and WinXP. I was just perusing through Best Buy the other day and I ran across the SuSE box in the Software department. I have been asking some people in mIRC about it, and they say that the SuSE distro is supposedly extremely complicated. I read that it will automatically partition the HD when you install it so that you can choose between XP or Linux on start up, is this true? I am going to go buy it tommorow (yes buy it, I dont have BB so I have no choice) and I was hoping to acquire some tips/recommendations/warnings. The reasone I want Linux so bad is because next month I am having Satellite internet installed, and I don't trust my WinXP box hooked up to a constant connection. Plus I have always wanted to try Linux, and I know that it is more stable. I have already had some crashes with WinXP. *sighs*
Any info would help. Thanks.
Nate
