    Angry error 630

I have win 98 and an internal dial up modem.I'm getting error 630 on my dial up modem. I already disconnected and reconnected my modem.I also tried reinstalling the driver. It seems like the computer is not detecting the modem. What do I do?
By the way, I'm using conexant v.90 internal modem.

Is it an ISA or a PCI modem?

If it is ISA...you may need to disable on of the serial ports on your motherboard...depending on the resources the modem wants to use

Are you using any other serial devices (mouse)

Check the device manager...and look at your existing hardware...
you may need to adjust some resources.

Most ISA modems use serial port 2, IRQ 3... I think(its been along)

Also...there may be jumpers on the actual modem to set for PNP.

Do you have any documentation that came with the modem...it should tell you what resources it wants to use.
